is it just me, or do babies get especially pleasant and content right before they're supposed to go down for a sleep. the kid will be squawking at my heals and destroying my folded laundry all afternoon, and then ten minutes before nap time she decides it's time to play happily on her own. this is a serious inquiry. are we the only ones?
It's not just you. I think kids instinctively know when we are trying to get something done and go berserker. Then if you just go sit with them and give them your attention they'll want nothing to do with you. The destroying of laundry they just love to do. I think they see it as a pile of leaves just calling to be thrown around. I can fold a pile and Jack or Jonah will start to throw it at me and say here you go mom. Ya Don't!
