i put the crib mattress on the floor so i could change the sheet, and bets decided it was the best time a gal could ever have. she jumped, rolled, fell, stepped, bounced, danced, screamed, and shimmied on, off, and around this thing for at least half an hour.

i'm learning that i'm really no good at editing photos taken with indoor tungsten light. first off, the tungsten white-balance mode on my camera is a joke. secondly....well there is no second point. maybe the secondly is i wish it'd stop raining so we can take photos outside again. oh yeah, secondly is that the ISO is at 2000 in all these pics and i still should've bumped it higher because they're all blurry....and my noise reduction methods are the pits....makes everything lose detail. sigh.

next.

my iphone that i washed? yeah. it works again. anybody need a replacement 3GS? actually i should probably hold on to it for when i wash the iphone4.

  1. ISO 2000? Oh snap. Indoor photos are sooo hard!!!! And now that I have like 500 feet of snow outside and bitter Iowa winds...it's pretty hard to ever use my camera, ever.

  2. PS. I seriously hate indoor lighting, so hard and the tungsten light thing does not work well... I just shoot everything in RAW and fix it as best I can there... but when I use my 50mm and keep my WB on auto, everything always looks yellow... but these images are really pretty, Sara! The color is awesome! Low f/stops just make all moving objects blurry... my mom is a professional photographer in Idaho and soo not a fan of low f/stops... she despises me shooting at 1.2!! But I love it and keep doing it anyway ;) Seriously, we need to chat sometime!

  3. PSS. my mom's fix for blurry images to "avoid" low f/stops is to use a flash... hard. Hate doing that, so I don't. But, flash can be awesome if you know how... I should take a class. Want to??
