okay, let's see....where to begin...i guess i'll just blab about whatever comes to mind. baby elizabeth....she's a very happy baby. she hardly ever cries. really, she does a lot of grunting to let me know when she needs something, so i know when she's actually crying real tears, that she's REALLY in need.
she still sleeps quite a bit, though not quite "through the night". i think as far as two-month-old's go, she's doing pretty well. at night she does one six-hour sleep then wakes, eats and goes back to sleep for another four hours. so depending on what time we put her down, i only have to wake up once around 3am. occasionally she sleeps eight hours. when this happens, i wake up around 4:30am in a panic to go see if she's still breathing. she always is.
she's happiest in the morning. really she's all smiles in the am, especially after a good poop. i've changed many a poopy diaper and poopy clothing with her cooing and grinning like a crazy little troll. oh, and she has a favorite toy. it's the ceiling fan in our room...when it's not on. she smiles and talks to that ceiling fan like it's her best buddy. and if i reach up and give it a little spin she really goes bonkers. what else...she has a little floor bouncer she likes to sit in to watch me fold laundry in the afternoons. she prefers to watch the darks.
another thing. she's loud. she eats loudly, she sleeps loudly, and let's not talk about the grunting noises she makes when she's doing her bizness. we started out with her sleeping in our bedroom but had to move her into the other room so i could sleep. she grunts and groans all night long and it keeps me awake. like, she'll make noises for an hour before she's actually ready to get up, ruining valuable sleep time for yours truly. when she eats it's the same story. she grunts and hums and sings the whole time.
things elizabeth loves:
her binkie - playing with it and smoking it like a cigar
pooping
her dad's voice and his "spaceship" rides
sucking on her little fists
being swaddled up really tightly
her BATH! - one time she combined two loves and pooped in the bath. oh sweet synergy!
okay, that's all for now. i'm sure i'm leaving out the most important stuff. more later.
What fun to read your blog as i remember those cherished days. It made me smile, and giggle as I read of your great adventures...thanks for letting me in on the bizinez at hand. Your daughter is delightful.
