this morning was our two month visit with el doctor.

here're the stats:
weight: 9lb 14oz - up a pound
length : up an inch (i can't remember...maybe 23 inches now?)

okay so i guess there weren't enough stats to warrant a list. too late. they took her head measurement again too, but i can't remember the digits. i'm useless. here's the big event of the visit though.....she got five shots! FIVE!?, you may ask! yes, you read me right...FIVE SHOTS. actually, that's a lie because one was an oral deal...so really she only got stuck four times. but four is still big-time, right? right. FOUR SHOTS! i love our pediatrician, and he administered the pain as quickly and efficiently as was doctorally possible, but still, she screamed like a banshee, and her face got beet red and looked like it was going to pop off (it didn't). we made it through, and i only teared up a little when she was screaming. i don't think the doctor even noticed. last thing: for the past three nights, she's slept from 10:30pm-6am. it's like a christmas miracle. we're in the routine of feeding at 10pm, rocking for five minutes, and then putting her in her bed with her pacifier, sleepy but still awake. and get this, she just goes to sleep. like, in her bed. like, all by herself. as in, no longer awake. she just grunts it out and nods right off. so i decided to try this technique before her long nap just now....and well.....she is now currently.....ASLEEP. like in her bed. asleepsville, sleeping. amazing. we are so lucky to have such a good baby. i'm pretty sure it can't stay this good for long....

ps - we got a christmas tree last night, and i got to see what greg was like as an eleven year old boy (he was cute if you were wondering). the man loves an old fashioned faaamily christmas!
