the hard drive on my five month old macbook pro failed and gobbled up with it all my pictures (that i foolishly hadn't backed up) and my copy of photoshop, so blogging has come to an abrupt halt.
im still in the picture mourning phase and am avoiding technology for the time being. i implore you to back up your important data TODAY.
and now, i will read a book made of paper and glue and ink; so deliciously permanent.
ps - i promise to start posting more stuff about bunnies and rainbows very soon. i'm a real downer lately.
that really sucks. I feel your pain, we still refer to our hard drive crash as the "big crash of '08".
ReplyDeleteAaargh!! That is rotten. Last year we lost one month's worth of pictures and it nearly killed us. We had just gone a big trip and had taken lots of family photos that month so it was worse than usual.

ReplyDeleteI lost Tanner's first year of life then 6 months of my life last year. I am backing up now!
ReplyDeleteThat happened to us a few years ago and ever since we store everything important on our external hard drive. It really really sucks when you lose photos! At the time I lost a lot of photos from my first pregnancy :( Thankfully I have never lost any baby photos, knock on wood! Sorry :(
ReplyDeleteWe lost our hardrive on our new-ish mac and those genius guys said they couldn't recover it. But we figured out how! So hang on to it!
